The Brief

Helio had been on the same Magento installation since 2014. The site was slow, the content team couldn't update product stories without a developer, and mobile conversion was 0.6% against an industry baseline of 1.8%. They wanted to keep their existing back-office systems and replace only the storefront.

The Approach

We rebuilt the front of the house as a Next.js application backed by Sanity for content and Shopify for commerce — fully headless, so their existing ERP and fulfilment integrations stayed untouched. The product page treats each item like an editorial spread: full-bleed photography, long-form materials story, a quiet "add to cart". The launch was choreographed with a single-page hero campaign that ran for four weeks pre-launch.

The Outcome

Mobile conversion rose to 2.4% in the first quarter post-launch. Page weight dropped 71%. Average session time tripled. The content team now publishes new stories in hours instead of weeks.
